  1. Turn off slide motion animation

Turn off the animation between slides. It would be really nice to turn off the slide animation for some presentations.

This is already possible. If you open the “Style” panel in the left sidebar of the editor, there is a section where you can change the slide transition. One of the slide transition options is ‘none’ which removes all of the sliding transitions.

  2. Copy and paste slides from different decks

I wish I could share slides between different decks. I often reuse slides, so this would be a helpful feature.

  3. Sync video in live mode

The new video functionality is great! In order to use non-autostart videos in the speaker view mode, it would be good if starting the video in speaker view would also trigger a start in the live view. If cumbersome to arrange with controls, it is enough to have an option "play on click".

  4. Zoom on workspace

Sometimes when working on small details it would be nice to be able to zoom on the workspace. Of course I can zoom with the browser, but this also increase the size of the sidebar, which can be quite annoying depending on the zoom level.

  5. Rename fork to copy or duplicate

The word "fork" is very technical, so it appears odd to non-technical users, which is what it seems slides.com is for as opposed to reveal.js. In some places you already use copy in place of fork. It would be great to use copy everywhere. In particular on the presentation screen where it says "forked from ____" it would be great to either have the option of hiding this information of not using the word fork.

I agree “fork” is a very technical term and, as you pointer out, we started referring to it as “copy” in a few places. I just went ahead and replaced the rest of the places where we said fork. Take a look and let me know if you notice any errors.

  6. Show titles on the presentation previews

It would be nice to see presentation titles on the main page. They're shown on the profile page but not the home page. They could be shown in a similar fashion as the author is now. When you have a lot of presentations that looks similar (most of ours are based on a few templates) this would make it easier to quickly find what you're looking for.

  7. background iframe

When an iframe is added to the background(advanced feature) it displays perfectly. However it appears that the <div class="slides"> is blocking all the input to the iframe. Im wondering if this is the intended functionality or if it would be possible to still interact with the iframe background.

We just revised how this works. From now on, you will be able to interact with a background iframe as long as the slide itself is completely empty. If there is slide content in the foreground, that will take precedence and prevent you from clicking through to the iframe background.

Hope that makes sense and thanks for the feedback!

  8. Save latest code theme

Save latest selected code theme like you already save code language.

It will save users time and make UI more consistent.

Good feedback, thanks. I’ve updated the theme selector to pick its defaults based on existing code blocks, just like language selector works.

  9. provide deck categories/tags

Currently all decks are thrown into one big bag. It would be nice if we coult categorize them, tag them - and had an opportunity to filter somehow (not only by name)

  10. Revise Fragment system

When fragments overlap, it becomes incredibly frustrating to order and control their appearance since their controller can reside within another fragment's bounding box, making it select that controller automatically.

We just released a major redesign of the fragment mode to address a few different issues:

    1. There’s a new sidebar where you can see all elements on the slide listed out. This lets you reach overlapping elements and enables you to create nested fragments (useful for nested bullet lists).

    2. As soon as there are two or more fragments, a new interface will appear that allows you to preview fragments without leaving the current view.

    3. There’s a new button for resetting all fragments.

Let us know if you run into any issues or have any comments.

    Thanks!

Hey! We have added support for hiding individual slides now. The quickest way to hide the current slide is to press CMD+H (CTRL+H on Windows). Alternatively, you can open the arrange mode (ESC) and click the eye symbol the slides you want to hide.

Deactivated slides are only visible inside of the editor. They are removed from all other presentation views, including live present page.

Please let us know if you notice any errors!

Great idea. I needed a break from what I was doing so I went ahead and added this. Reload the editor and you should see this new option next to where you pick background size.

  13. add the ability to include alternative text descriptions for images added to slides

One of the options in the add images page should be a text field for adding alt text. This option would map to the alt attribute of the image being added. If left blank, the alt attribute for that image would be empty. Adding this option and subsequent attribute would make the presentation more accessible, and allow the deck to meet spec for HTML.

We now support adding alt text for images! Look for the “T” symbol when an image block is selected. (This was actually added in October 2018 but we missed closing the suggestion, sorry!)

  14. Give users the ability to choose a presentation size

You really need to give users the ability to choose a presentation size. The reason this is is that you need to give user the ultimate freedom with their designs and right now you box them into your own grid which constrains my ability to design.

  15. _Easily_ copy individual slides between decks, even when you have a lot of decks and a lot of users. (Templating the deck is not enough)

We are a consultancy of 80 people. We would have to easily copy (or reuse) individual slides from a lot of decks if Slides.com is to be a viable solution for us.

We’ve rolled out a refreshed slide template selector! It’s now possible for Team members to browse and insert slides from any of their colleagues internal decks.

This—combined with the existing ability to insert slides from your own decks—gives you convenient access to all the slides you need to quickly assemble new decks.

Learn more about the template selector and see screenshots here: https://help.slides.com/knowledgebase/articles/405645-slide-templates

  16. Bulk change properties on multiple objects

Multiple selections are already really powerful—moving things in groups is essential to an editing experience.

Something I'm missing is being able to select objects of similar types and change their properties in bulk.

Instead of scaling each Text object separately, I want to change the scale of an entire selection... or their colors, or their alignment. You get the idea.

Ongoing presentations are now kept in sync in real-time when changes are made in the editor. Note that this only works when presenting using the present view.

  18. Line Numbers and Line Highlighting in CodeBox

    I love this webservice.
It will be even more awesome if you consider adding following features in the codebox

    - show line numbers
    - highlight specific lines

Presentations can now be zoomed via the standard pinch-to-zoom gesture on mobile!

Mobile Safari does not support the Fullscreen API so that’s not an option for the time being.

  20. Change the wording in the color picker from "Less options" to "Fewer options"

because "less" is used with non-countable nouns whereas "fewer" is used with countable nouns. Since "Options" is countable, it should be "Fewer options".
