  1. Allow a slide sorter view in the upcoming slide pane in the speaker view

This would allow a presenter to jump to a different location in the deck for the next slide. At the moment you can get a slide sorter view by pressing ESC in the current window, however this then presents the slide immediately ( a problem if its the wrong slide), whereas if the same was implemented in the upcoming window it would be more controlled. I would even suggest that the feature is removed from the current window in favour of the upcoming one.

  2. Templates, auto-fragment and modular designs

When my presentations amount, I try to get organized into different big categories: talks, class, workshop and conference. Currently, I use tags but have to manually cross-tagged presentations (e.g., talk+machine learning, workshop+Asia, etc.). A hierarchy option (such as folders) could be a solution. Most importantly, if I can create templates per each genre of presentations, I don't have to duplicate one first, then edit. Another big must-have is auto-fragment by bullets or text boxes so I don't have to manually assign fragments. Modular design can be like programming a presentation (backend is html), so I can add introduction (front slide),…

  3. Support Github Gist embed codes

GitHub provides embed codes for Gists in this form, <script src="file.js"></script>. Slides throws an error when you try to use the script tag in an iframe. I didn't try editing the HTML of a text block but I am assuming this would also flag the same rule. It would be great to include these Gists as elements in addition to the code blocks in slides.

  4. Change the size of the paging

    hello,

During an oral, the audience cannot see the pagination due to its dimension

That's why I would like its size to be adjustable.

  5. Font line height will scale with text going up but not down.

I think this is actually a bug, but when you scale text in the eidtor down to 90 or 70 or a lower percentage, line height does not change in the way that it does when you scale up.

Even if this isn't a bug, it doesn't make sense - line height should scale down if it already scales going up.

  6. Syntax highlighting for new Scala 3 syntax

Scala 3 is now released officially for quite some time, but unfortunately the syntax highlighting does not support it. Union types like A | B break the highlighter.

It would be nice to add Scala 3 on top of the existing Scala highlighter.

  7. An option to exclude vertical slides from preview in speaker view

I use the vertical slides to host video versions of demos in case they fail. However they always show up in the "upcoming" of the speaker view. It would be great if I could disable vertical slides so they don't show up as "upcoming" but rather only the horizontal slides will

  8. Set return slide and return to this slide

Have the ability to set a slide as a 'return to' slide.
So that for an interactive presentation you don't need to duplicate the same slide multiple times in order to jump to it and then jump back to where you came from.
    i.e. in reveal.js I would use:
slidetoreturnto=Reveal.getIndices(); to set the location of the slide to return to and then
Reveal.slide( slidetoreturnto.h,slidetoreturnto.v, slidetoreturnto.f ); to jump to the slide which i have remembered.

This feature would work well when you have a zoom on a slide or an information page with a close box where you want to…

  9. Add the Lite plan in the Github student pack

It would be cool to see the Lite plan in the github student pack (Lite plan free for students with github).
    1. It would allow more people to discover Slide, this pack is very popular. On my side, i discovered a lot of website with this pack.
    2. It would allow student without a lot of money, to use Slide at school (free plan is too limited for a school usage) and teachers or other students could discover Slide like this !

  11. Home page with show/hide slides button

I would like to create presentation with Home Page with checlist of slides to show/hide before presenting for Client.

Our employee should get (not editing version) of presentation with first screen to choose, what is important for him/client to show and hide what is not interesting.

That function give opportunity to make big presentation with many topics for whole sale department. Now I have to create different presentations for specific clients separately. :(

  12. Import SVG and animate individual pieces?

Consider I have created all my slides in Figma and I would like to import them to the Slides in order to animate them. Right now if I open an SVG the Slides treats it as a single image, I can't break it down and animate the individual pieces.

  13. Add Mastodon/Fediverse handle to Profile

Currently the profile allows you add only your Twitter handle. Considering the downward spiral of Twitter and the rise of Fediverse-connected services such as Mastodon, can I suggest that you add the ability to list your Mastodon/Fediverse handle or maybe go the GitHub route of moving to multiple social profiles rather than service-specific ones? ✨ Many thanks!

  14. Auto Update Slide Link Targets upon addition and deletion of Slides.

Update Link Targets automatically upon addition or deletion of slides anywhere. This is much needed feature and it saves hell amount of time.
    Example. Slide1 <Link Target > Slide2 <Link Target > Slide3<Link Target> Slide4

if i delete slide2, then Slide3 Link Target and all others below shud update automatically as Slide3 is now Slide2. So, Link Target of Slide 2 is now Slide 3, not Slide4.

  15. Presentation statistics

As a lecturer working on a new course and slides for this course, I would appreciate having statistics about how much time I spent on each slide during the presentation. It would allow me to keep a constant rate of slides per minute, and therefore keep a constant rhythm of the presentation.

Alternatively. the possibility of recording a presentation session would be also great -- based on that creating the statistics I mentioned above would be rather simple.

  17. Official CDN for exported code?

Cannot find an official CDN to support exported code as an alternative to the documented procedure (embed in reveal.js framework). A CDN should enable required assets to be downloaded on demand, optionally minified (unless I'm doing something wrong).

    For example at http://cdnjs.com/libraries/reveal.js
Tried prepending "http:" and "https:" to
    //cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/reveal.js/2.6.2/css/reveal.min.css

And that doesn't point to anything.

This would enable exporting and running exported code without uploading the reveal.js framework to the website (which isn't always feasible or practical).

  18. Speaker view for embedded decks

I couldn't find any way to embed the presentation in order to be able to activate the speaker view and share the clean presentation to the audience. Probably a little tricky but sharing the presentation link in a conference call and being able to be the only one who controls it and also see how many people are watching it is a common case. And keeping it under your own domain is sometimes a must.

I know that reveal.js can achieve this, but it requires some advanced knowledge and sometimes the creators of the presentations don't have it.
