    This is a great suggestion but unfortunately not technically possible :/ We can’t access the operating system clipboard. Instead we implement our own clipboard and copy-paste logic but that only works in the scope of one editor session.

  2. Using slides.com for websites development?

    Hello, I am front-end webs developer from Lithuania. Recently I tried out slides.com (presentations is my hobby) and realy enjoyed it. After finding out, that HTML and CSS are fully costomizable I thought of using it for developing simple static websites with it. What's the negative thing about it? Seems like slides.com is fully dedicated for presenations and not websites, even known they are 1 step away from actually becoming some kind of content management system. What about using it for this purpouse in current state?

    Hey! Thanks for contacting us. We realize that our editor could technically be used to create a many different kinds of content but we think it’s important to focus on one use case. We’d rather be really great at presentations than just “okay” at a bunch of things :)

    That said – people have already used Slides to create simple websites. You can either embed via an iframe or export to ZIP and host it yourself. The ZIP export includes all HTML, CSS, JS, images and fonts.

  3. Support for latex equations?

    One post describes using equations via MathJax by editing the header with javascript. I am not familiar with MathJax, is this essentially the same thing?

    Thanks for the suggestion but I don’t think we’ll be adding impress.js imports. Our formats are a bit too different.

  7. Clarity on arranging slides to the upward/top direction

    When in arrange mode it is possible to have a slide "to the top" by clicking the lower "arrow pipe" button (not the arrow left button). Then in the arrange mode you see the slide in the upward direction. But when I go into play mode and navigate to the point of the upward slide it immediately jumps down to the same row. Appears to be either a bug in play mode or in arrange mode. Could be user misunderstanding.

    I made a screen capture here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_6Il4OOw_ruQTdzRW4xT3h2ZEU/edit?usp=sharing

    This is a misunderstanding. Vertical stacks of slides will always start from the top/first slide, that part is not configurable. There is navigation logic in place that remembers which vertical slide that was visible when navigating away from a stack so that it doesn’t reset to the first slide again when returning to that same stack. This is always happening behind the scenes but is only plainly visible in the arrange mode.

    We are however planning to revisit the entire arrange mode in the future and shifting to a drag and drop interface. We’ll keep this in mind then to try and avoid the confusion.

    Updated response, for the new editor:

    To link an image you’ll need to click on it to focus followed by selecting “Link” in the options that appear to the left. I’ve highlighted this in the following screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/1F0812122W21/link-image.png

    Previous response, for the old editor:

    It’s already possible to link images, try selecting the image just as you would normal text and using the link option in the editor toolbar.

  10. Add the option to make a fragment be normal again

    (Perhaps)In the fragments editor, there is an "X"-type button that make the selected fragment part of the normal slide.

    All clicks on elements in the fragment editor toggle fragments on/off. So if you want to return an element to its “normal” state again you just need to click on it.

  11. The Ability to Rotate uploaded Images

    I've had a few times where I've had to go into photoshop to rotate the Image. Not a HUGE deal, but the ability to grab a corner and rotate a desired number of degrees would be nice.

    We’re not going to add rotation specifically for images at this point but this is something we’d like to address in the next bigger iteration on the editor. I think we’ll add the ability to rotate any given element in a slide then.

  12. Ability to link to whatever slide I want in the deck

    Is there a way to create a text link (or an image link) that goes to a specific slide in the deck?

  13. Check that links to other slides work; some do, some don't.

    On Note 8/Android 4.1.2 this occurs. On Ubuntu 12.04 Firefox 22.0 it works.

    There’s no official support for internal links yet so we won’t be chasing this one down. Instead we’d like to focus on adding GUI support for links between slides.

  15. Pinterest integration

    Immediately load JavaScript. For best results, put it just above your closing </BODY> tag:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>

  16. Fix a bug where the editor selectively deletes certain vendor-prefixed CSS properties

    For example, if I enter:

    style="-webkit-transform: skewX(30deg) translateX(25px);-moz-transform: skewX(30deg) translateX(25px);transform: skewX(30deg) translateX(25px);"

    Then the editor will strip it down to only contain:

    style="-webkit-transform: skewX(30deg) translateX(25px);"

    Since I use advanced CSS effects extensively in some of my slides, this means some audience will see broken slides.

    My wife wanted to do a slide with a Twitter Feed that filters on #somehastagforherupcomingpresentation. I downloaded the Rvl.io code and slides to my localhost on my MAMP. Cannot get the twitter feed to show. Any thoughts?
