## I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

### There are two ways to get more votes:

• When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
• You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
• To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

You would be able to specify inline math using $ symbol, (just like in IPython notebook markdown). I'm really tired of putting spaces in my paragraphs to make room for symbols. 68 votes Vote Sign in Check! The reason this is is that you need to give user the ultimate freedom with their designs and right now you box them into your own grid which constrains my ability to design. 7 votes Vote Sign in Check! It would be really great if slides will support authoring decks in that format (+ export). 166 votes Vote Sign in Check! (thinking…) This has been added!xx You can now select from multiple different aspect ratios in the presentation settings. It’s even possible to define your own custom resolution. • ## Allow multiuser collaboration Many times a presentation is a work of more than one person. Would be great to allow all of them to contribute to its edition. 295 votes Vote Sign in Check! In some places you already use copy in place of fork. It would be great to use copy everywhere. In particular on the presentation screen where it says "forked from ____" it would be great to either have the option of hiding this information of not using the word fork. 4 votes Vote Sign in Check! (thinking…) Reset or sign in with I agree to the terms of service Signed in as (Sign out) You have left! (?) (thinking…) I agree “fork” is a very technical term and, as you pointer out, we started referring to it as “copy” in a few places. I just went ahead and replaced the rest of the places where we said fork. Take a look and let me know if you notice any errors. • ## Show titles on the presentation previews It would be nice to see presentation titles on the main page. They're shown on the profile page but not the home page. They could be shown in a similar fashion as the author is now. When you have a lot of presentations that looks similar (most of ours are based on a few templates) this would make it easier to quickly find what you're looking for. 7 votes Vote Sign in Check! However it appears that the <div class="slides"> is blocking all the input to the iframe. Im wondering if this is the intended functionality or if it would be possible to still interact with the iframe background. 3 votes Vote Sign in Check! (thinking…) Reset or sign in with I agree to the terms of service Signed in as (Sign out) You have left! (?) (thinking…) We just revised how this works. From now on, you will be able to interact with a background iframe as long as the slide itself is completely empty. If there is slide content in the foreground, that will take precedence and prevent you from clicking through to the iframe background. Hope that makes sense and thanks for the feedback! • ## Math Equations It took about ten minutes to fork reveal.js to add equation support via MathJax ( http://mathjax.org ). You only drop the MathJax javascript into the header and it automatically renders anything like$y=x^2\$ as an equation in any number of different formats. No live demo, but see: https://github.com/rreusser/reveal.js

Makes a lot of sense to me particularly since it's so simple, but there are a number of choices that would need to be smoothed out like which equation syntax to use, which display format to use, and how an editor like rvl.io would balance WYSIWYG with equations that need rendering.

• ## Copy individual slide between decks

Making slides is usually a matter of copy-and-paste from an old deck into a new deck (at least in Powerpoint). Copying is either a selection of elements from a slide, or one or more complete slides.

However I found it impossible to do copy-and-paste between different decks at slides.com. It is possible to clone an existing one - but what if it is too late or I want to copy from multiple sources?

• ## Animation effects for elements

Have you planned to add animation effects to the elements? It's the only thing missing to make your software even more awesome than it is and compete with Keynote. Cheers

It'd be great if there was an option to not only resize, but also rotate elements (eg images, text boxes etc.)

Save latest selected code theme like you already save code language.

It will save users time and make UI more consistent.

Good feedback, thanks. I’ve updated the theme selector to pick its defaults based on existing code blocks, just like language selector works.

• ## Make it possible to set background-position

Make it possible to set the background-position of a background image. In particular I need to be able to specify the equivalent of data-background-position='bottom right'

Great idea. I needed a break from what I was doing so I went ahead and added this. Reload the editor and you should see this new option next to where you pick background size.

We’ve made it possible to recover recently deleted decks! From now on, any deck you delete will be available for recovery through a tab at the top of the profile page.

Decks that are in the trash bin will be permanently deleted after 60 days.

• ## Typekit support

Will there be an option to integrate typekit fonts?

• ## Add keyboard shortcuts Ctrl-K (Add URL) and "?" (Show keyboard shortcuts)

Hello,

First I really don't regret to went pro, your software is really useful.

A little thing that bothered me is that I had to add many URLs and I wasn't able to use the Ctrl-K (or Command-K on macs) shortcut that works in all google prodcuts (gmail, google docs, ...) and even in Word

Another standard shortcut would be "?" to show... well, the available keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks,

Jean-Michel

• ## How do I embed, say, a YouTube video?

I see it done on another rvl.io, but cannot seem to figure out how to make it happen.

Can anyone help me out?

So, perhaps the 'idea' is for a couple of instructional vid's to help some of us out. I LIKE the simplicity of this tool, so please don't "complex" it up.
