I think it would be very useful to be able to upsize a deck embedded into a personal site, blog or news article.12 votes
Thanks for the feedback! We have turned on upsizing on the /embed page.
I often use shapes like circles and squares to create a basic diagram, and it would be useful to add an outline, so that I can have a white or transparent box with a thin dark border.1 vote
Hey! This is actually possible already. The option to add a border is available to all “basic” shapes like rectangles and circles. Look for the “Border” option further down in the left toolbar.
When using Speaker View on a slide with an iframe video set to autoplay, the video plays on both the speaker view and presentation view. This is particularly problematic due to the audio being doubled. I suggest not displaying the video in Speaker View. Instead display player controls. This would be helpful if not using autoplay.1 vote
This has been fixed – autoplay is now ignored in the speaker view. Thanks for the suggestion!
Feel free to submit a new idea if you also want to suggest the addition of video controls.
Elixir is already supported by highlight.js.
Love, love, love slides.com. Amazing tech!1 vote
Done! And thanks for the love!
If you have a Pro account you can export to PDF and include that in an email. http://help.slides.com/knowledgebase/articles/496994-export-to-pdf-pro
We don’t support exporting to PPT but in terms of email portability PDF should be even better.
Add default code language to deck settings so that language will be the default selected when a code block is added to a slide1 vote
Great feedback, this is a pain point I’ve been meaning to address.
From now on we remember the last language you selected and use that as a default for any new code block you insert. When you reload the editor, we default to the language used in the first code block we find in the deck.
Note that you’ll need to reload the editor to see this change.
Create a tool for the users who forgot their pasword or just cannot have access to their account for some reason.1 vote
If you lose your password you can reset it here: https://slides.com/users/password/new
If you lose your username, contact support with your email address and we can look it up.
Would be great to have different transitions for fragments.
As it stands they just appear, but it would be nice to have them slide in or convex etc.4 votes
We just made it possible to select from a few different fragment transitions. Learn more here: http://slides.com/news/fragment-styles
Its been a couple of times I sleep my computer and when I'm back I get a saving error.
Also, as a docs and iWork user I must admit I'm getting kind of used to autosave. I think it'd be a good (and huge, I bet, in terms of programming, storage, etc) addition. The "complementary" tools that usually come with autosave would be pretty good too (version control being the biggest).
I think it's a great goal though to strive to later in the future.20 votes
There’s now an auto-save toggle in the editor sidebar!
The ability to make a fragment disappear.64 votes
We just made it possible to select from multiple different fragment styles. If you use the "Fade out style, content will be visible from the start and then disappear.

Possibility to export speaker notes (within the pdf export of the slides)1 vote
This is now supported through the new “Share notes” option. Find out more here: http://help.slides.com/knowledgebase/articles/729753-sharing-decks-with-speaker-notes
You can have maybe a small box in the corner of presentation mode to tell you how many people are viewing you presentation live.2 votes
Hey! Thanks for the suggestion.
We already show the number of viewers in the “speaker view”: http://help.slides.com/knowledgebase/articles/333923-speaker-view
We don’t show it on the present page since the content there will be visible to viewers if you’re presenting in person.
Something like JS Fiddle has, so I can embed inside of a blog post or on my website somewhere.5 votes
You can embed decks with a special url, just append /embed/ to the deck’s URL.
Currently, you will have to manually build that URL. We are working on making this easily accessible from the UI.
Update3: This is now available!
An example of use is here:
… Would be great if GIFs only played on page load rather than playing constantly. They often end up half way through when you get to that slide.10 votes
GIFs now start playing when their containing slide is shown. This ensures they’ll always start from the beginning.
This logic is applied to both on-slide and background images. However restarting GIFs used as background images does not work in Firefox.
is it possible to arrange the slides at the profile page?
its not alphabetical...
nor by date...
what's the rules for that???7 votes
We’ve now made it possible to sort and search through decks on the profile page! This option is available at the top of the page for any account that has two or more decks.
By default, decks are sorted by the time when they were created.
Allow decks on the profile page to be manually sorted.
I will be making a lot of these for class, and the order seems to be random. It would be good to be able to put them in class order.8 votes

YAML's pretty common these days, I was surprised it isn't there.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately this isn’t possible since YAML isn’t supported by the syntax highlighting library that we’re using (highlight.js).
UPDATE: YAML is now supported by highlight.js and available in the Slides editor.
YAML Should be added to syntax highlighting.
Previously it was declined due to highlight.js not having support. This is not the case anymore.3 votes
Thanks for the heads up. We just updated to highlight.js 9.0.0 which adds YAML. You’ll need to reload the editor for it show up though!
I would love the ability to add simple lines with arrowheads to point from one element to another on my slides.
I am requesting this here because there really is no simple workaround. Users are forced to paste an image of a line with a 38° tilt and an arrowhead.
Of course, no line tool would be complete without dashed and dotted styles. Thank you for considering this suggestion.81 votes
You can now add directed lines and arrows through the new line content block!

I think that when you recognize that your user copy-paste a YouTube url like
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XXY-aBAlgC8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
That is what gmail does.
I think that if you do that, it will be easy for people like me to show to john doe users that we can do much better than that PowerPoint thing :-)
We made this possible through the media insertion dialog instead (http://cl.ly/image/2U0E1D3Z2A2I).
