While using phone as remote control would be nice to have the horizontal AND vertical controls...sometimes I use vertical slides as optional stuff I might want to skip...with remote it just plays them all.1 vote
Thanks for the feedback.
It’s actually already possible to navigate both horizontally and vertically using the remote control view. Try swiping in the direction that you want to navigate. Tapping on the other hand steps through all slides in the presentation, both vertical and horizontal.
Or at least raise the limit. 200 characters is debilitatingly small. It significantly reduces the usefulness of the tool!5 votes
This limit has been raised to 300 characters. More info in the comments.
I'm giving a big presentation (>200 people) tomorrow and would really love to be controlling rvl.io wirelessly from my smartphone (Galaxy Note 2).
I've tried editing the HTML to force the deck to top-align, but no success. Is there anything I can do? Please?
Edit: A more general solution would be "uniform scaling", so that it works fine on all aspect ratios and display sizes.1 vote
This is now completed and deployed on rvl.io
The url to my presentation is based on an out-dated title. It would be nice to have the ability to edit the title and/or the url fragment.4 votes
You can now edit both the title and URL slug of your presentations.
I'm using a div with a background-image as it is currently not possible to use a background image for a slide
The problem is that i'm trying to set background-size:100% 100% on the div style, but whenever i save and re-open the deck, that gets rolled back to background-size: 100% (only 1 argument), and the height of the image ends up wrong1 vote
You can now upload background images directly through the UI so this should no longer be an issue.
I suggest support right to left languages: supporting bullets on the right, combining english and non english writing from the right, transitioning the slides to the left instead of right, etc.1 vote
We’ve added a RTL mode. Look for an option in the Settings panel of the editor.
Link created in the presentation aren't saved. :-o3 votes
I see that I can grab the embed code from YouTube and then go into HTML mode in rvlio and paste the code there and the video will play fine, but the video won't stop playing automatically when I switch to another slide. Can you make the video stop playing when I change slides?5 votes
YouTube videos now stop playing when navigating away from their slide.
We’ve writing content for our help section, this will grow over time: http://slides.uservoice.com/knowledgebase

Could we choose the PDF export quality (in pro version) ?
For now, the assets (images) are really poor quality :/8 votes
PDF export quality has been greatly improved and all font families and styles will now come through in the output.
We replaced our whole PDF generation pipeline with new software. This change means that quality is higher and presentations will look identical to how they do in a modern browser (Safari 8 to be specific).
This also applies to deck thumbnails.
given the <aside class="notes"> block used by reveal.js, it should be straightforward to accept speaker notes from imported html file, at least for the first 300 characters of the notes in each slide.
Very surprised that accepting also the speaker notes from an imported file is not supported!3 votes
This has been added. Going forward, imports will convert notes to Slides’ notes storage format.
I would like to have the ability to share my decks without the ability for other users to fork it. Is this possible?
One option would be to set the deck private but is there an alternative so that other people can still see my decks?

Add syntax highlighting for Scala code0 votes
Scala is already supported. I’ve linked to an example below:
Complete html or other export, which will allow me offline browsing of presentation, including all the pictures and fonts, does not have to be editable.
Maybe take an inspiration from Prezi Pro single file export.
Can I use speaker view on an iDevice have to work over a similar internet connection?
e.g. i have my work computer connected to "work wireless", but i can't log onto that using my phone, so i connect my phone to "Personal wireless" and use speaker mode on my personal wireless, to control a presentation on a work wireless. Would this still work to control the slides?
If not could i suggest a bluetooth connectability function, perhaps presented in a "Remote Control" application.1 vote
Short answer: yes, see comments.
alignment grid in background, and arrow keys to nudge elements on axis0 votes
This has been added in the new editor which is now live (public beta).
- To allow linking from any other site to a specific page within a deck
- To allow reload of specific page in 'fullscreen' after editing
- To align with the restfulness of the interwebs and all that jazz
and of course it should be aligned with internal(relative) links9 votes
This has been a frequent request so we turned on unique URLs on the standard presentation pages a week ago. If you go to a deck, like http://slides.com/news/overpass/, the URL will update with each slide navigation.
We may revisit this to use the history API at a later point as that would produce nicer URLs while not filling up the browser history.
Adding Speaker Note Function0 votes
Thanks for the feedback, we’ve already got an idea filed for speaker notes here http://slides.uservoice.com/forums/175819-general/suggestions/4408700-speaker-notes
This would be perfect for kiosks and for pechakucha style presentations15 votes
Auto-sliding support has been added. Find out more in the documentation: http://slides.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/269971-auto-slide-kiosk-mode
Here’s an example: http://slid.es/news/auto-sliding
once editing in a code block, you can't get out and back to the regular text, I typically have to go into the HTML editor and add a ul.li tag after the div code block to be able to continue editing using the graphical UI.2 votes
This has been fixed. Going forward, the editor will automatically insert an empty line after code and blockquote elements.
- Don't see your idea?
