Edit slides while presenting
Allow live editing slides while presenting.
5 votesOngoing presentations are now kept in sync in real-time when changes are made in the editor. Note that this only works when presenting using the present view.

Change the wording in the color picker from "Less options" to "Fewer options"
because "less" is used with non-countable nouns whereas "fewer" is used with countable nouns. Since "Options" is countable, it should be "Fewer options".

Ability to toggle speaker notes
When a deck is shared with speaker notes visible they sometimes overlap with slide content. The viewer should be able to toggle the notes on/off to avoid this.
6 votesWe changed the speaker notes layout so that notes are no longer placed on top of presentation content. Instead notes are confined to a sidebar.

borders on shapes
I often use shapes like circles and squares to create a basic diagram, and it would be useful to add an outline, so that I can have a white or transparent box with a thin dark border.
1 voteHey! This is actually possible already. The option to add a border is available to all “basic” shapes like rectangles and circles. Look for the “Border” option further down in the left toolbar.

Upsizing for embedded decks
I think it would be very useful to be able to upsize a deck embedded into a personal site, blog or news article.
12 votesThanks for the feedback! We have turned on upsizing on the /embed page.

Include default code language in deck settings
Add default code language to deck settings so that language will be the default selected when a code block is added to a slide
1 voteGreat feedback, this is a pain point I’ve been meaning to address.
From now on we remember the last language you selected and use that as a default for any new code block you insert. When you reload the editor, we default to the language used in the first code block we find in the deck.
Note that you’ll need to reload the editor to see this change.

modify lines to dashed or dotted
I love that we can now draw a line, but it's helpful to make them dashed or dotted.
1 voteThanks for the feedback. We have added support for dotted and dashed lines now: https://twitter.com/slides/status/726062777282998273

Disable iframe video in speaker view
When using Speaker View on a slide with an iframe video set to autoplay, the video plays on both the speaker view and presentation view. This is particularly problematic due to the audio being doubled. I suggest not displaying the video in Speaker View. Instead display player controls. This would be helpful if not using autoplay.
1 voteThis has been fixed – autoplay is now ignored in the speaker view. Thanks for the suggestion!
Feel free to submit a new idea if you also want to suggest the addition of video controls.

What if I loose my pasword or user name?
Create a tool for the users who forgot their pasword or just cannot have access to their account for some reason.

If you lose your username, contact support with your email address and we can look it up.

Allow Team plan accounts to login through Google / Facebook
Currently, when clicking on the Login from a team profile page, it shows the form without social login (e.g. no Google Apps login). Hence, my login looks like this, every time: http://g.recordit.co/4HWx9c20FM.gif
It'd be nice to see the same Login page as the one that can be reached from the homepage.
4 votesThis has been added! The FB/Google auth options now appear on the team sign in page.

Include fragments in pdf export
Right now when you create a presentation with fragments, the exported PDF only shows the last version of any given slide. That is, the version with the "last" fragment in place. This means that the exported PDF is useless as a presentation medium if you include any fragments in your talk.
This poses a major problem because many conferences that I go to (and perhaps this is common for others too) require all presentations to be uploaded to a common computer ahead of time, and limit to PDF or MS PPT format (to avoid compatibility issues, etc). So it leaves…
23 votesThis has been added! Fragments are now included as separate pages when exporting to PDF.
We made this the default behavior, but there’s an option available in case you want to disable it and export all fragments in their final state.

Ability to keep speaker notes open in the editing view
I want to flick through my presentation reviewing my notes and editing them without having to go to 'present' mode.
5 votesThis has been added!
When you open the speaker notes input there’s a new “Dock notes” option. If you press this notes will be fixed to the bottom of the screen. This choice is saved so that notes remain docked no matter which presentation you’re editing.
Let us know if you run into any issues.

offer a simple solution to play videos from the harddrive.
I tried
<section> <video data-autoplay src="media/media9a.mp4"></video> </section>
but its a bit buggy still...
7 votesHey! We now let you upload videos from your hard drive and insert them into the presentation. We automatically transcode to a format that can be played anywhere.
You can also insert a video by pointing to an external URL. Look for the “Insert from URL” option in the media library.
Let us know if you have any feedback!

Let the user know how many people is viewing his/her presentation
You can have maybe a small box in the corner of presentation mode to tell you how many people are viewing you presentation live.
2 votesHey! Thanks for the suggestion.
We already show the number of viewers in the “speaker view”: http://help.slides.com/knowledgebase/articles/333923-speaker-view
We don’t show it on the present page since the content there will be visible to viewers if you’re presenting in person.

Add YAML to the list of languages for syntax highlighting (code editor)
YAML Should be added to syntax highlighting.
Previously it was declined due to highlight.js not having support. This is not the case anymore.
See: https://github.com/isagalaev/highlight.js/blob/master/src/languages/yaml.js
3 votesThanks for the heads up. We just updated to highlight.js 9.0.0 which adds YAML. You’ll need to reload the editor for it show up though!

Add \mathcal support in Math mode
This is supported in ipython markdown and is pretty standard in most TeX implementations. It is of great use for statistical or probability-oriented decks, since we use cursive letters to denote distributions. (N= Gaussian, U=uniform...)
3 votesWe just released support for font changing functions, like \mathcal.
More specifically we now support: \mathcal \mathbb \mathfrak \mathtt and \mathbf.

Transitions for Fragments
Would be great to have different transitions for fragments.
As it stands they just appear, but it would be nice to have them slide in or convex etc.4 votes
