This way someone can swipe or click to move through the presentation that is showing on another computer. I actually did this a while back using a python web-sockets demo, it only took a couple of hours to hack up.
Notes and a zoomed out overview of the presentation would be helpful.24 votes
Happy to let you know that smartphone remote controlling is now available to all of our users. More info here: http://help.slid.es/knowledgebase/articles/333925-remote-control
My native language is czech and it contains a lot of special characters and default font in rvlio is not compatible wit them so I have to use Arial. And every time i create new slide I have to swich to Arial.
Please make it possible to set a font style globally for one presentation, it would help a lot.5 votes
after adding a "fragment" class to an element and saving, the preview doesn't show that element as a fragment (the class is totally missing)4 votes
The url to my presentation is based on an out-dated title. It would be nice to have the ability to edit the title and/or the url fragment.4 votes
You can now edit both the title and URL slug of your presentations.
I would like to be able to include a stylesheet of a custom theme I make for the slideshow. A simple "Custom Stylesheet" box would suffice for this.
Also, I think it would be nice if I can submit that stylesheet as a theme to help expand the themes for all users. This can be categorized as "User Themes" so they know there is a risk of cross-browser support, etc.33 votes
Custom CSS is now available as an option in editor’s Style panel for Pro users. There’s a bit more info in this blog post http://blog.slid.es/post/56336481462/update-pdf-export-background-images-and-custom-css
As to the second point, a user-submitted theme gallery isn’t in our plans at the moment.
So far most of web fonts used by reveal.io temoplates uses webfonts without polish characters, which is crucial since I need to write polish presentations.
Best option would be to allow user to choose webfonts for their templates. Other provide two or three templates that use fonts that have many characters (like arial, ubuntu font and so on).9 votes
We’ve added a lot of fonts since this was posted (you can find them in the Style panel). Open Sans should be particularly good. Let us know if you’re still having issues with this.
1.allow edit text size (1 to 100) & adjust text's vertical position/auto center it vert.
2.the text formatting tool capitilizes the lowercase IDN (or any type of) characters, after a few text style changes, and doesnt make them Lowercase again when selecting "Paragraph" style.
3. when selected the text with cursor, the text formatting area's "Font" and "Format" fields, should display current selections (eg: Arial, H1), so user knows where he stands.6 votes
Can I rename my username? if not, can I end my account and begin a new one?I've made a typo and cannot undo it.3 votes
Yes – you can now change your username on the user settings page. It’s available from the dropdown in the header.
Please remove the border from the images. I want to make nice presentations and if you put that border, you will ruin the nice transparent image1 vote
We’ve taken out the default borders on images.
I really love what you guys are doing with this...but one suggestion.. I can't override "box-shadow" for images in a specific template .. its kind of annoying when i just want to embed a transparent png2 votes
We’ve taken out those default styles for images. Btw, you can also drag the edges of images to resize them now :)
The current "export" feature is not a real "export" apparently since rvl-specific settings/styles aren't included, making it impossible to share the slides to a handful few before publishing - which should be pretty common in the tech circle when your administrator requires reviewing it before allowing it to be publicly shared in a conference, etc.22 votes
We have added the ability to share private links, though with the new product structure that’s one of the things that requires a Pro account.
Unable to log in using as id (Google, Aol, etc..) Please fix, because I'd love to check this site out!8 votes
Log in system has been entirely replaced since this was reported.
2) Above is the link of the presentation that I created.
3) On above page, there is 1 link with name 'For Google Chrome'. This link works on Google Chrome 23, Safari 5.0, Opera 12.12. But it doesn't work on Mozilla Firefox 17.0 and Internet Explorer 10.
4) Please give me solution.1 vote
I'm giving a big presentation (>200 people) tomorrow and would really love to be controlling rvl.io wirelessly from my smartphone (Galaxy Note 2).
I've tried editing the HTML to force the deck to top-align, but no success. Is there anything I can do? Please?
Edit: A more general solution would be "uniform scaling", so that it works fine on all aspect ratios and display sizes.1 vote
This is now completed and deployed on rvl.io
I see that I can grab the embed code from YouTube and then go into HTML mode in rvlio and paste the code there and the video will play fine, but the video won't stop playing automatically when I switch to another slide. Can you make the video stop playing when I change slides?5 votes
YouTube videos now stop playing when navigating away from their slide.
I'd like to change my user name to a more expressive one, but there currently is no way to do this.3 votes
You can now change your username, as well as a lot of other account settings. Look for the Settings button in the header user dropdown.
As a software engineer, I think this is a basic requirement when I make presentations.15 votes
This has been addressed; there’s a code format option in the toolbar and highlight.js kicks in on the deck page (not during editing).
Right now fragments are not saved correctly event if they were added via "html" button.
The reason is "class" property is being erased on save (Chrome 23 & FF 17)12 votes
You can now add fragments directly through custom UI. Give it a go! :)
I suggest support right to left languages: supporting bullets on the right, combining english and non english writing from the right, transitioning the slides to the left instead of right, etc.1 vote
We’ve added a RTL mode. Look for an option in the Settings panel of the editor.
