  1. Loop back-and-forth option for videos

The loop option is good, but in presentations it is often useful with palindrome looping (back and forth).

  3. activate mailto links on shapes

Internal or external http links are enabled on shapes, which is great.
But if you want to have an object which visually suggests to the spectator that clicking it will open up a mail (mailto link), it's only possible with text objects.
When you use mailto:xxx@yyy.zzz in the link box for a shape, it's automatically suppressed.
If you type mailto://xxx@yyy.zzz, the link is kept but it doesn't work for every spectator (persons with local mail software will use it with no trouble, but persons with online mail like Gmail will get a new mail windows with no…

  5. Quickly scale text block while keeping its center static

I love slides and use it a LOT (slides.com/bahmutov), but when I edit text blocks I often find myself spending too much time doing the same several operations to make the text larger
    - select text block
    - drag the text size slider. The text starts breaking to next line due to left / right boundaries
    - I drag the left or right boundary to get the text back into original number of lines
    - Then I drag the box so its center is back where it was
I would be perfect if I could hold SHIFT or OPTION while…

  8. Slide navigation

Ability to more easily move around and navigate slides. Right now, if you want to move one slide all the way to the end, it takes a long time to slowly move it slide by slide over to the right or left.

Similarly, ability to quickly navigate through the deck more quickly. Having to flip page by page to get to my last slide where i decided I want to make edits, and then going back to where I was another 20 slides back one by one, becomes cumbersome.

  12. Image mask

A simple way of masking images, perhaps by double clicking to adjust edges in or out. Using edge to edge graphics is a great way to make presentations stand out but it's quite tedious to prepare masked images in Photoshop and then import them to the media library every time.

  13. increase line spacing between lists

Super minor UX suggestion. By increasing the space between list items they will pop more, be more readable and not blur in to each other.

  14. export notes to the notes section of PPTX instead of overlay.

Notes overlaying the presentation is actually not super useful (just gets in the way and weird to design around). When I want to export notes I want them for me, not for the person viewing it (otherwise I'd put the stuff on the slide :p). Native export of notes to PPTX format (going in the notes area, rather than overlay) would be really great.

  16. Image Placeholder

I would like to be able to create a placeholder box in master slides. Then I can drop images into the box and they are all the same size. I do not have to resize every image every time for every slide.

  18. Live cursor during streaming

It would be great to be able to show the presenter's cursor during live stream (maybe not always on, but with a toggle option): this is very useful to point certain areas of a slide to an online audience.

  20. Duplicate objects by Alt+Dragging them

As someone who is used to Adobe's applications, Sketch, and other graphical editors, the ability to duplicate objects by holding Option (Alt) and dragging it has become a staple that makes editors lacking this functionality a pain to use.

Adding this would speed up the editing workflow greatly and make duplicating objects feel less manual.
