Visual navigator for long/complex decks
Having some sort of visual navigator to jump between slides of long/complex presentations would help a lot I think!

would it be possible to have a display similar to the "arrange" view ; a kind of menu with slides rendered as tiles. This allows different paths within a presentation like in this app Vimodi:

A way to link to individual slides from within the presentation would be nice too. That way I can create my own navigation page (an advance organizer if you will).

@Hakim This is essential to the usability of your product! How is anyone supposed to know about this hidden feature?
Also, esc doesn't work if you are in full-screen mode.

Having a dedicated button would be great though.

Or simply linking somewhere to a HUD displaying keyboard shortcuts. I personally think that what really crowds the interface are the top-right buttons (Preview, Save, Export, etc.) In my opinion, given the only button that is constantly used during editing is "Save", there would be no problem whatsoever in hiding those buttons in some sort of auto-hiding menu. This menu could also have a button to some sort of documentation/help HUD that reveals shortcuts like this one.

The only thing I have against adding an icon in the middle is that it gets cluttered, I'm sure that could be worked out with the right design though.

@Hakim
Would it make sense to add a little dot in the middle of the navigator controls which takes user to the overview screen? I guess, on the flip side, it may look a little crowded.

Why that's just what I needed! Thank you! I should change this suggestion to "make the keyboard shortcuts a bit more obvious" haha d:

There's no UI for it but you can press ESC to get an overview of a presentation.
