I think it will not be very convenient to translate each time manually. It'd be better to have a built-in translation function. I never dealt with this, as well as with French in general. But recently I needed to translate English to Spanish and I turned to this service https://www.translate.com/english-spanish I think it was the right decision, because on my own I would not have got such an accurate result.

That is definitely a Martini-Henry carbine. The carbine variants were created to give British artillery crews a decent weapon that wasn't a full rifle. These weapons were later replaced by the SMLE but were phased back into service in WW1 rechambered in .303 as the British army's production of SMLE's and pattern 14 rifles couldn't meet their needs. A very cool rifle with some interesting history behind it :).
