Keyboard shortcuts for changing slides while an element is selected
Currently, the keyboard shortcuts for next/prev slide do not work when you have an image/text block selected.
This is fine if you're editting the text (hitting escape will cancel that) but you have to click outside something to change slide which is a bit of a pain
Having a next/prev slide key which works without this would be nice

I must have misread the title, thanks for clarifying. I've removed the "declined" status from this idea and adjusted the title a bit.
I'm not opposed to adding additional slide navigation shortcuts that work even when an element is focused. Page Up/Dn aren't great candidates since many keyboards don't have those, I think my favorite would be a modifier plus the N/P keys.

I didn't suggest changing the arrow key functionality - indeed it works quite well -as-is for moving stuff - making it the slide change is just a bit cluttered (and hitting Esc a lot is a bit clumsy)
Adding a discrete way of changing slide (PgUp/PgDn or Modifier+Arrows or CTRL-N/P) perhaps would be better as they'd not clash with any other editting function?
