Allow using images as slide backgrounds
First, just wanna say thanks for creating the service! This is a slide authoring framework full of potentials. Just check out what I was able to do with some additional CSS knowledge:
http://slid.es/gsklee/functional-programming-in-5-minutes
But that's also the issue - you need some CSS knowledge and a lot of works to get some really rich effect. It would be great if the service can one day provide built-in support for all the advanced techniques used in the example slide, though I'd like to highlight one feature, which is "using images as slide backgrounds", 'cause it's really a great addition to have in our slide-building tool belt.
We have added the ability to set background images. It’s an icon right underneath the icon for setting a background color. You can also change the transition between backgrounds in the Style panel.

Can you post the necessary css tricks here, so we can use it too, while waiting for the new feature?
thanks :)

thanks for your great preso. Even if I'm not there yet the openness of the code makes it possible to expore new ways. Trial and error are my dear friends. Still having some UI support would ease the pain ;-)

First off; amazing presentation! That looks really great.
We agree that there is still a lot more that would be good to expose through the UI and have a lot of ideas for how to approach that. Slide background images are on the list. We are also working on an 'absolute positioning mode' which will allow you to resize and drag any element around freely on the screen to create layouts similar to what you did manually.
