Import presentations from Slide Rocket
Sliderocket have recently merged with Clearslide meaning that they are closing all their lite accounts and many users have presentations that they can no longer update. It would be great if we could import out presentations into Slides, meaning that valuable work wouldn't be lost, and you'd have a lot of happy new customers.

Slide Rocket closed down so long ago this is no longer relevant.

This feature request about importing presentations from SlideRocket is a great idea and would definitely streamline workflows for many users. While working on a presentation about local businesses in Pakistan, I found myself needing to reference reliable services. For example, if you're covering topics like Online Flower Delivery in Karachi or discussing where to buy fresh flowers in Karachi, it's useful to have seamless integration tools to showcase such resources efficiently within your slides. Hoping this import feature becomes available soon—it would add so much value!

Great suggestion on improving the import feature for presentations! While looking for tools to streamline visual content, I also came across AC repair services in Karachi that provide excellent support for office environments where maintaining the right temperature is crucial for tech operations and presentations. Whether it's a pitch or a product demo, having a reliable AC repair service ensures your space remains comfortable and equipment functions smoothly. Thanks for sharing this helpful discussion!

Great suggestion on improving the import feature from SlideRocket! As someone who frequently creates business presentations for client consultations—including those in financial services—I see how helpful seamless importing would be. For instance, while working with debt collectors, presentation clarity and platform flexibility are key to effectively communicate case progress and legal options. Tools that support streamlined content transfer are essential for industries like debt collectors who rely on timely and professional reporting.

That’s a really helpful suggestion! The ability to import presentations from platforms like SlideRocket would definitely streamline workflow for a lot of users who are switching tools. I’ve faced a similar challenge while preparing client pitches for my Online Flower Shop in Karachi, especially when showcasing design themes or floral arrangements in slide format. Having better import options would save a lot of time and effort. Hoping this feature gets considered soon – it would be a big help for small businesses like ours trying to present professionally. By the way, if anyone’s looking for the Best Online Flower Shop in Karachi, feel free to check us out!

@NH: We've been busy working on other areas of the product and haven't been able to start work on this yet, though it is high on our priority list. Unfortunately importing in an editable format is unlikely to happen since we can't maintain the original formatting and style. We'll make a final call on that after we start development.

Are there any updates on this? I am a paying SlideRocket customer looking to take my business elsewhere, would love to be able to import working presentations. Just importing the pictures from a PDF would still entail a lot of extra work getting all the medaia, links and effects back in place.

My university has exactly the same problem, and we're finding that converting Slide Rocket presentations to Powerpoint is a cumbersome process (e.g. does not download audio or video with the slide). And then, of course, we have to upload the files to our server (we use Kaltura for that).
To answer the "Admin" question, SL does export as PDF, Windows, Mac, and ppt. -

We're definitely interested in adding more modes of import. Perhaps the best flow here is exporting from SlideRocket as PDF and importing that into Slides (not possible yet, but we are adding PDF import). What other types of export does SlideRocket offer?
