It would be very nice to be able to set the number of horizontal and vertical division we want in the grid.
Is there a way to do this today?2 votes
The media library only support images and videos, but I often want to put audio files in my slides as well. HTML5 easily supports audio, and I've used audio in reveal.js before.
Currently, I could host my audio files elsewhere on the internet, then edit the slides html to add that audio, but this is quite inconvenient.3 votes
Allow multiple trigger-ids for a single animation of an object. For example, I want to hover over different "buttons" for something to disappear (while others appear).6 votes

A very useful editing tool when including a summary in a presentation is indeed to have the possibility to include curly braces / brackets.
Would it be possible to implement this ? i.e. in the

Please allow a second option to only lock position but not content. This would help us lock positions in templates but still let our users edit photos and text.7 votes

When selecting vertical layout (distribute), the objects are centered on the slide. It would be better if the objects were distributed vertically as specified, without affecting their horizontal positions.
Also, it would be great if there were an "auto" option to distribute the objects between the top and bottom in the selection (e.g., this is the default behaviour for the distribute action in PowerPoint).1 vote
It would be great if there were better SVG and CSS styling support. It'd be nice to have a properties panel for the object to set position, size, title, etc. It's weird that when uploading an SVG to the media library then inserting it to the slide with inline styles checked that it adds an image which sources the SVG that was uploaded to an S3 bucket in addition to the inline SVG itself. However, if you delete the IMG tag it doesn't show up in the editor even though the SVG is in the HTML. It seems to work better when you add the SVG code to a snippet instead of uploading to the media library. I just wish when editing a deck the snippet panel showed thumbnail previews.

Pretty self explanatory, but the ability to loop a series of animations together would be pretty powerful and useful.2 votes
add the possibility to lock(/unlock) the whole presentation for preventing(/allowing) last second changes.
Alternatively, add the possibility of labelling a version in "version control"3 votes
It would be nice to be able to insert variables in the text. This way you can repeat something (like presentation date) on many slides, but you have to change it only once.1 vote
In some cases, like when you embed a presentation on a website, you might want to have some links to point to some internal pages of that website. Right now, even if you edit the html code of a link inside a presentation and you change the target to 'parent', the attribute will be automatically defaulted back to 'blank'.9 votes

I teach several university classes and update/reorganize decks regularly. I can put summaries of the contents in the descriptions, but sometimes I need to find all the places where I've mentioned a particular topic.
I understand full-text search of public decks would be resource-intensive, but if I could just search the text contents of my own decks it would really make my life better.3 votes
I think you should make CSS editing free.
It would really help out!9 votes
Mermaid (https://mermaidjs.github.io/#/) is a compact language for creating a variety of diagrams. There is a plugin for reveal.js (https://github.com/ludwick/reveal.js-mermaid-plugin) and it would significantly simplify the workflow for editing the sort of diagrams that mermaid supports.4 votes
After a snippet is added to the slide, allow us to edit the snippet options in the sidebar when snippet is selected.
This would allow us to position snippets where we'd like them within templates for users to edit info later.7 votes
We are currently trying to find an application that would allow us to easily create content to be used for interactive e-learning.https://showbox.bio/
Slides does already provide some great functionality to create slide-shows. However, a few elements are missing for our use case - i.e. questions that users have to answer.https://tutuapp.uno/
It would be absolutely amazing, if it was possible to create some custom building-blocks and add them to the editor for the whole team.https://vidmate.vet/
This would also allow 3rd-party developers to extend your system with custom symbols, animations and such.3 votes
