  2. Which is better in terms of providing accurate ETA and traffic rerouting? Google maps or Waze?

    I know I’m posting this in Waze so I’m probably gonna get biased answers lol but try not to be bias answering this.

    I’ve noticed that google maps planned drive (setting a trip up for arrive by specific time) times differ from Waze, while Waze gives me a time that seems a little low. Waze indicates the estimated time for my trip but it seems off, just 2 minutes extra during rush hour? Googles estimate is a range from 15-20 minutes extra.

    But from your guys’ experience, does Waze follow through with those estimates?

  3. oEmbed for linkedin

    I am trying to embed a presentation in Linkedin, and they seem to require oembed for that. Are you planning to enable it and ask Linkedin to allow embedding your content? It would be extremely useful! Thanks

    See here for more details

  4. Countdown timer on slide

    I like to incorporate timed activities into my slides. For example a 5-minute discussion.
    Unfortunately, I can't use a "script" tag to add JS to my slide. Is there a way to incorporate a countdown (ie. 5 minutes) without using an iframe to an external site?

  10. It would be neat if after a presentation, the speaker had a summary of the time spent on each slide

    A summary of the time spent on each slide or each "chapter" seems like a feature that is easy to implement (just record the timer value upon slide change). This can help hone one's timings, and adjust the speaker notes accordingly, especially for presentations "in the wild" given multiple times. Actual timings are often very different than planned ones!! In the same vein, having a second, smaller timer and time limit per slide would be very useful. Thanks for the best slide software out there, by a long shot!!

  12. better diagrams

    I would love better support for creating diagrams. The choice of shapes is super limited.

  13. Creating Folders

    Hey,

    It would be nice if there was an option to create a folder on our profile page when viewing all of the slides we've created so that we could better organize and categorize our slides by topic. For those of us planning on creating hundreds of slide presentations, it becomes difficult after a while to navigate without some kind of folder structure. Doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to implement. Otherwise, I absolutely love Slides!

  14. Slides number in presenter view (independently from presentation control)

    Goal: have slide numbers shown in the presenter view mode without having to show also the presentation controls (arrows)

    Description of the problem:
    To show slides number when presenting it is necessary to activate "presentation control" which also shows the arrows.
    I think it would be a good idea to have the slides number being independently controlled.
    In practice, if you already enabled the slide numbers from the setting of the presentations, why would you want to disable them when presenting?

  15. Co-presenting improvements

    I've co-authored and co-presented a talk with a colleague and while it worked, there were a few pain points there:

    • No way to edit the slides simultaneously

    • Shared speaker view control works only if one of us is logged in and shares an SMS link with the other person

    • Slide deck is owned only by one of the authors

  17. Computer resources and support centers.

    Online education is one of the best opportunity to learn and explore our
    talents and special different abilities that everyone has to do something like to rebrand or create something new for improving world computing technology.
    Many people are looking for opportunities to learn and try out something new that can improve and changing lives,the big problem is that many people especially in Africa can't afford to buy smartphone or pay daily ceyber internet access, they really need it but can't afford it.

  18. Watermark

    Do you know of ways that people have added watermarks as part of uploading docs into Slides or any other ways it’s been accomplished? (outside of adding them prior to uploading)

  19. Configurable Hotkeys (Problem: multiple assigned hotkeys)

    Problem:
    Alt+Left Arrow is default to go back in Chrome and Firefox.

    As Alt + Left Arrow is also assigned the layout function "align to left edge" I have to manually right-click and select the function, if I do not want to leave the slide I am currently editing, because both actions get executed.

    Solution 1 (general solution)
    Make them configurable in some options place

    Solution 2 (quick & easy)
    Assign a second place that does not clash with a default browser hotkey

    Solution 3 (not nice but works)
    remove the default EventHandler of the action so the browser-action is…

  20. Keyboard/ Arrow Keys support for ionic slides in ionic 5

    I setup a new ionic angular project and created a test page using the following slides options:

    slideOpts = {

    initialSlide: 0,

    speed: 300,
    direction:"vertical",
    keyboard: {
    enabled: true,
    onlyInViewport: false,
    }

    };

    https://www.upsers.app/

    However, when I serve this project, on my desktop in both chrome and safari, I have click-and-drag for the slide to navigate, keyboard navigation does not work.

    What am I not doing right? any suggestion

    Thank you.
