Custom autoplay timing for each slide
Should be able to define a custom timing for each slide.

You can now customize the autoplay duration on a per-slide basis. This and a few other slide-specific options are available in the new “Slide Settings” menu. More info and examples here: https://slides.com/news/slide-settings/

autoplay seems to be disrupted if you ever move backwards during a presentation. is there any way to fix this?

There is a default timeout for each slide of the whole presentation. The idea would be to have the possibility to override this timeout if necessary for some specific slides.

I agree. I found the autoplay for video feature very useful. Each slide I could set for a specific time or I could click the "transition at end of video" option.
