Slide Elements as Background Elements
So essentially my idea here is for you to be able to lock certain elements and have them count as the background.
Let's say I have a line running through all of my slides, as a design element, and I want it to seem seamless. I'd use slide transitions-- no issue, change them both. But if I want to use a different transition for the stuff ON my slide, the line will move as well, the effect broken.
So, if I could say "this line is part of the 'background,' treat it as such" I could then make full use…

Allow user to set grid size
It would be very nice to be able to set the number of horizontal and vertical division we want in the grid.
Is there a way to do this today?

Add "Font-Border" on the "Text" Editor?.
Hello.
Text fields should allow a text border that is like a shadow to the text.
A nifty CSS attribute would be text-shadow.thanks

Multiple Animation Triggers
Allow multiple trigger-ids for a single animation of an object. For example, I want to hover over different "buttons" for something to disappear (while others appear).

Allow "Exact line height" in text boxes
The line height option is great! And it would be even better if one had the option, say as a checkbox, to keep the line height "exact" irrespective of the line content (as in word or powerpoint). One example where this would prove useful is when inserting inline TeX equations, the size of which does not always match surrounding text. One then has to increase the font size of the equation, with the result the line height for this line is increased and creates an spurious vertical space in the text block.

Allow shape cropping
Similar to image cropping, but allow it for shapes in general. This would be nice for designing layouts on slides. I'm currently doing this by uploading SVGs of circles in all the colors I intend to use and cropping them as images, but seems like it could be more first class given that works well.

Option to put speaker notes on the slide itself
Notes styling the same as HTML in PDF export.
I really like the way the notes look on the slides when you have them enabled on a presentation. It would be great if I could keep them in the same spot as an option when I export to PDF.

Live question/comment box
I thought it would be cool to add an option where viewers are able able to tick a box if they have a question or a comment to make. The presenter then gets a notification on their device saying that someone has a question or a comment to make. That way, the presenter does not have to be interrupted and he/she can just address the question when he/she has time.

Support for mermaid diagrams
Mermaid (https://mermaidjs.github.io/#/) is a compact language for creating a variety of diagrams. There is a plugin for reveal.js (https://github.com/ludwick/reveal.js-mermaid-plugin) and it would significantly simplify the workflow for editing the sort of diagrams that mermaid supports.

lock presentation
add the possibility to lock(/unlock) the whole presentation for preventing(/allowing) last second changes.
Alternatively, add the possibility of labelling a version in "version control"

Lock element's position but remain editable
Please allow a second option to only lock position but not content. This would help us lock positions in templates but still let our users edit photos and text.

Variables for in text boxes
It would be nice to be able to insert variables in the text. This way you can repeat something (like presentation date) on many slides, but you have to change it only once.

It would be great if vertical layout alignement did not change the horizontal positions
When selecting vertical layout (distribute), the objects are centered on the slide. It would be better if the objects were distributed vertically as specified, without affecting their horizontal positions.
Also, it would be great if there were an "auto" option to distribute the objects between the top and bottom in the selection (e.g., this is the default behaviour for the distribute action in PowerPoint).

Additional SVG and CSS inline style support and properties pannel
It would be great if there were better SVG and CSS styling support. It'd be nice to have a properties panel for the object to set position, size, title, etc. It's weird that when uploading an SVG to the media library then inserting it to the slide with inline styles checked that it adds an image which sources the SVG that was uploaded to an S3 bucket in addition to the inline SVG itself. However, if you delete the IMG tag it doesn't show up in the editor even though the SVG is in the HTML. It seems to work…

Make a cool-down in the chat.
When people talk to much on the slide, there would be an option for the editors to "mute" the person that is talking to much.
