  1. Search text contents of (my own) slides

    I teach several university classes and update/reorganize decks regularly. I can put summaries of the contents in the descriptions, but sometimes I need to find all the places where I've mentioned a particular topic.

    I understand full-text search of public decks would be resource-intensive, but if I could just search the text contents of my own decks it would really make my life better.

  2. Recapthcha verification in China

    Hello, I`M your new user in china, I'm a Linux users and I love reveal to make presentations,
    but now I have a problem that when I'm sign up new account, always can't be verified by recaptcha,

    I think this problem because google.com is blocked in China and when open sign up new account page can't download recaptcha specific java script files from google CDN so this problem occurred,
    how can I sign up new account in china?
    my English is very poor and thank you.

  3. lock presentation

    add the possibility to lock(/unlock) the whole presentation for preventing(/allowing) last second changes.

    Alternatively, add the possibility of labelling a version in "version control"

  4. Allow shape cropping

    Similar to image cropping, but allow it for shapes in general. This would be nice for designing layouts on slides. I'm currently doing this by uploading SVGs of circles in all the colors I intend to use and cropping them as images, but seems like it could be more first class given that works well.

  6. Configurable Hotkeys (Problem: multiple assigned hotkeys)

    Problem:
    Alt+Left Arrow is default to go back in Chrome and Firefox.

    As Alt + Left Arrow is also assigned the layout function "align to left edge" I have to manually right-click and select the function, if I do not want to leave the slide I am currently editing, because both actions get executed.

    Solution 1 (general solution)
    Make them configurable in some options place

    Solution 2 (quick & easy)
    Assign a second place that does not clash with a default browser hotkey

    Solution 3 (not nice but works)
    remove the default EventHandler of the action so the browser-action is…

  7. Slides number in presenter view (independently from presentation control)

    Goal: have slide numbers shown in the presenter view mode without having to show also the presentation controls (arrows)

    Description of the problem:
    To show slides number when presenting it is necessary to activate "presentation control" which also shows the arrows.
    I think it would be a good idea to have the slides number being independently controlled.
    In practice, if you already enabled the slide numbers from the setting of the presentations, why would you want to disable them when presenting?

  8. oEmbed for linkedin

    I am trying to embed a presentation in Linkedin, and they seem to require oembed for that. Are you planning to enable it and ask Linkedin to allow embedding your content? It would be extremely useful! Thanks

  10. Allow a slide sorter view in the upcoming slide pane in the speaker view

    This would allow a presenter to jump to a different location in the deck for the next slide. At the moment you can get a slide sorter view by pressing ESC in the current window, however this then presents the slide immediately ( a problem if its the wrong slide), whereas if the same was implemented in the upcoming window it would be more controlled. I would even suggest that the feature is removed from the current window in favour of the upcoming one.

  11. Templates, auto-fragment and modular designs

    When my presentations amount, I try to get organized into different big categories: talks, class, workshop and conference. Currently, I use tags but have to manually cross-tagged presentations (e.g., talk+machine learning, workshop+Asia, etc.). A hierarchy option (such as folders) could be a solution. Most importantly, if I can create templates per each genre of presentations, I don't have to duplicate one first, then edit. Another big must-have is auto-fragment by bullets or text boxes so I don't have to manually assign fragments.   12. Support Github Gist embed codes

    GitHub provides embed codes for Gists in this form, <script src="file.js"></script>. Slides throws an error when you try to use the script tag in an iframe. I didn't try editing the HTML of a text block but I am assuming this would also flag the same rule. It would be great to include these Gists as elements in addition to the code blocks in slides.

    During an oral, the audience cannot see the pagination due to its dimension

  14. What are the fonts Webdings and Wingdings used for?

    They are used to insert useful symbols or graphic-like elements, without having to resort to finding and inserting specific graphics. They work in even in programs that do not support inserting graphics! The text is entered like other text.

  15. Font line height will scale with text going up but not down.

    I think this is actually a bug, but when you scale text in the eidtor down to 90 or 70 or a lower percentage, line height does not change in the way that it does when you scale up.

    Even if this isn't a bug, it doesn't make sense - line height should scale down if it already scales going up.

  16. Syntax highlighting for new Scala 3 syntax

    Scala 3 is now released officially for quite some time, but unfortunately the syntax highlighting does not support it. Union types like A | B break the highlighter.

    It would be nice to add Scala 3 on top of the existing Scala highlighter.

  17. An option to exclude vertical slides from preview in speaker view

    I use the vertical slides to host video versions of demos in case they fail. However they always show up in the "upcoming" of the speaker view. It would be great if I could disable vertical slides so they don't show up as "upcoming" but rather only the horizontal slides will

  18. Set return slide and return to this slide

    Have the ability to set a slide as a 'return to' slide.
    So that for an interactive presentation you don't need to duplicate the same slide multiple times in order to jump to it and then jump back to where you came from.
    i.e. in reveal.js I would use:
    slidetoreturnto=Reveal.getIndices(); to set the location of the slide to return to and then
    Reveal.slide( slidetoreturnto.h,slidetoreturnto.v, slidetoreturnto.f ); to jump to the slide which i have remembered.

    This feature would work well when you have a zoom on a slide or an information page with a close box where you want to…

  19. Add the Lite plan in the Github student pack

    It would be cool to see the Lite plan in the github student pack (Lite plan free for students with github).
    1. It would allow more people to discover Slide, this pack is very popular. On my side, i discovered a lot of website with this pack.
    2. It would allow student without a lot of money, to use Slide at school (free plan is too limited for a school usage) and teachers or other students could discover Slide like this !
