  1. Parameterize

    It would be EXTREMELY powerful if we could link to a deck with a set of query parameters that could in turn be injected into the deck.

    One example would be providing step-by-step instructions for a class where in the class number, password and URL are unique to each class.

  2. More fonts support and Latin Extended

    Add more fonts and Latin extended support fonts. Please just add some more exited fonts to library. For example Overpass and Montserrat have Latin extended support now, also Lato 2.0

  3. Allow users to choose the slide that appears for a deck in the profile page instead of using the first one.

    When duplicating a deck the "icon" of the deck that appears in the profile page appears to be the icon of the duplicated deck and this never changes. A duplicated deck should either inherit the first slide as it's icon after it's been edited. Or it should allow me to choose which slide appears as the icon in the profile page.

  5. Space several elements evenly

    When selecting several elements, one has buttons to align them vertically (left/right) or horitontally (top/bottom).

    Another option I would love here is the ability to distribute the selected objects evenly (horizontally / vertically). This is implemented in e.g. Power Point and Lucidchart. The latter even has guides for centering.

    We generate quite a few decks and it would be nice for housekeeping to be able to archive older decks

  7. Music

    I would love to be able to play background music while presenting. It would be extremely helpful too if I had the option to play the same song throughout the presentation or within a single slide. Thanks!

  8. Notify user when private deck is viewed

    It would be great if we could get an email notification when a private deck link is opened and viewed. I share a lot of presentation links and would like to know if the people I sent it to did open and view the presentation.

  9. Allow users to use their own S3

    • Shrink free tier (saves you money) to 50MB
    • Allow users to add their own S3 for media uploads (especially for free accounts)
    • Limit the amount of uploads (after all it's still your app and processor / RAM)

  10. Integrate with third-party apps

    So terribly lazy (I know), but I'm unlikely to use this amazing tool, unless I can embed in my app. Here me out, I don't think you need to provide any source code access, just a minified service (like google maps etc).

    By allowing apps to embed your editor, IMHO would be a huge step-up and competitive advantage in terms of allowing people to proliferate your success and establish a market position.

    By all means force them to be pro users, and provide ways for them to get their data out using your tool to say have a postback link…

  13. Fix the code display

    It highlights keywords (for, while, etc.) even when they are enclosed in a string literal. Also, highlighting escape sequences (ex. \r, \n, \") would be nice.

  14. Embed molecular structures in slides using 3Dmol.js or JSMol

    Many biologists and chemists discuss molecular structures in their presentation, but interactivity is hard/impossible to achieve with conventional presentation tools.

    It would be great if we could use a tool like 3DMoljs or JSMol to provide an interactive molecular viewer that can be embedded in a slide. It would certainly interest many scientists.

  15. Search on multiple tags for media

    The media library is pretty unwieldy for larger collections. To me the simplest and most efficacious change would be to let me search on multiple tags, either by typing in #tag1 #tag2 etc. in the search field or (less usefully) by clicking on the individual filter elements.

    As long as you're working on it though it would be great to delete images...

  19. When ckeditor grows it changes the decks top position

    When I edit a long text, ckedit will change the decks postion and I am not able to edit from top anymore. Might be good to reposition on move to another slide.
