Upsizing for embedded decks
I think it would be very useful to be able to upsize a deck embedded into a personal site, blog or news article.
12 votesThanks for the feedback! We have turned on upsizing on the /embed page.

Fix fragments saving
Right now fragments are not saved correctly event if they were added via "html" button.
The reason is "class" property is being erased on save (Chrome 23 & FF 17)12 votesYou can now add fragments directly through custom UI. Give it a go! :)

add the ability to include alternative text descriptions for images added to slides
One of the options in the add images page should be a text field for adding alt text. This option would map to the alt attribute of the image being added. If left blank, the alt attribute for that image would be empty. Adding this option and subsequent attribute would make the presentation more accessible, and allow the deck to meet spec for HTML.
11 votesWe now support adding alt text for images! Look for the “T” symbol when an image block is selected. (This was actually added in October 2018 but we missed closing the suggestion, sorry!)

Allow *background* image source to be a URL
Much like http://help.slides.com/forums/175819-general/suggestions/6287609-allow-image-source-to-be-a-url-instead-of-upload but for background images too.
11 votesWe allow you to set background images from URL now. Look for the small link icon in the header of the window that appears when you’re prompted to select a background image.

Make all fragment styles reveal.js offers available in slides.com
I've got text that I want to show it changes over time by layering each version of the text on top of each other and use fragment to transition between them. It would be nice to select from all the available fragment styles reveal.js has (http://lab.hakim.se/reveal-js/#/7/1) but I'm most in need of the
current-visible
style.10 votesIt’s now possible to select from multiple different fragment styles using the Slides editor. We included support for most (but not all) reveal.js fragment styles. More info and examples here: http://slides.com/news/fragment-styles

Enhanced performance of GIF files
… Would be great if GIFs only played on page load rather than playing constantly. They often end up half way through when you get to that slide.
10 votesGIFs now start playing when their containing slide is shown. This ensures they’ll always start from the beginning.
This logic is applied to both on-slide and background images. However restarting GIFs used as background images does not work in Firefox.

Enable Full Speaker View on iOS
The main reason I want to use Slides is to use my iPad to both see and control a presentation on a remote computer. As things stand, the remote control replaces the full “speaker view” on iOS. This isn’t what I need. As it requires one to turn around to watch the screen content, defeating the purpose of using Slides.
My classrooms are equipped with a Windows PC plugged into a projector, not allowing for installation of any piece of software. I want to use that computer to project slides, controlled via an iPad, but I also want to see…
10 votesiPad users will now see the full speaker view, rather than the simplified mobile version of the page.
Let us know if you run into any problems with this.

Copy and paste slides from different decks
I wish I could share slides between different decks. I often reuse slides, so this would be a helpful feature.

Add custom css selectors to elements
I would love the ability to be able to name elements with that name being applied to the presentation element (including the slide background) as a css class selector.
The purpose for this being to apply individual transitions & animations with CSS to specific elements only, for instance I may which to cycle the slide background color through a range of colors.
To save on system resources this would only apply to the present slide e.g.
.present.customSelector {
/* Apply custom css */
}
9 votesThis is now supported! Turn on the developer mode and you’ll have access to easy inputs for specifying CSS classes.
Classes can be added to individual elements within a slide or to the slide itself. Classes added to a slide also bubble up to its background element.

\underbrace support
Hi,
I want to use \underbrace in my slides to add some notes to maths.
Version 0.8.0 of KaTeX added support for \overbrace and \underbrace (see https://github.com/Khan/KaTeX/releases/tag/v0.8.0) so it should be fine if you update KaTeX to the latest one. Thanks,
pandaman9 votesKaTeX has been updated to 0.10.0, so we now support \underbrace as well as all of the functions listed here: https://khan.github.io/KaTeX/docs/supported.html
As part of this we’ve made it easier to update KaTeX versions in the future so we can avoid falling so far behind again 🚀

Leader/Audience viewing modes
Allow the author of a slide to set the presentation into "audience mode"
Where the authors slide position is followed by the anyone else with the link.
This would kill elluminate webex and even google hangouts when presenting via voice calls as the quality can't be matched over video compression.
This would also be perfect for crowd participation for iframe style content where things like audience voting can be started / turned off
This would also be great for launching live events via a slid.es deck
9 votesIt’s now possible to broadcast a presentation in real-time to your audience. Find out more: http://help.slid.es/knowledgebase/articles/333924

Webfont without non ascii chars
So far most of web fonts used by reveal.io temoplates uses webfonts without polish characters, which is crucial since I need to write polish presentations.
Best option would be to allow user to choose webfonts for their templates. Other provide two or three templates that use fonts that have many characters (like arial, ubuntu font and so on).
9 votesWe’ve added a lot of fonts since this was posted (you can find them in the Style panel). Open Sans should be particularly good. Let us know if you’re still having issues with this.

Give each page in a deck its own URL.
- To allow linking from any other site to a specific page within a deck
- To allow reload of specific page in 'fullscreen' after editing
- To align with the restfulness of the interwebs and all that jazz and of course it should be aligned with internal(relative) links
9 votesThis has been a frequent request so we turned on unique URLs on the standard presentation pages a week ago. If you go to a deck, like http://slides.com/news/overpass/, the URL will update with each slide navigation.
We may revisit this to use the history API at a later point as that would produce nicer URLs while not filling up the browser history.

Export HTML Including Assets for Offline
HTML export into ZIP file with all assets such as images, JS, CSS, fonts, etc. The current HTML export only gives you the HTML where the assets are still online. I would still need the internet to run it.
8 votesZIP download is now available in the editor Export panel! The downloaded archive includes all of the JS, CSS and images required for full offline access. This also provides a neat package for those who want to host their own content.
This feature is only available for Pro and Team users.

Better quality for PDF export
Could we choose the PDF export quality (in pro version) ?
For now, the assets (images) are really poor quality :/8 votesPDF export quality has been greatly improved and all font families and styles will now come through in the output.
We replaced our whole PDF generation pipeline with new software. This change means that quality is higher and presentations will look identical to how they do in a modern browser (Safari 8 to be specific).
This also applies to deck thumbnails.

Allow decks on the profile page to be manually sorted.
Allow decks on the profile page to be manually sorted.
I will be making a lot of these for class, and the order seems to be random. It would be good to be able to put them in class order.
8 votesIt’s now possible to sort and search through decks on the profile page! This option is available at the top of the page for any account that has two or more decks.
