[bug] once editing in a code block, you can't get out and back to the regular text...
once editing in a code block, you can't get out and back to the regular text, I typically have to go into the HTML editor and add a ul.li tag after the div code block to be able to continue editing using the graphical UI.
2 votesThis has been fixed. Going forward, the editor will automatically insert an empty line after code and blockquote elements.

Allow using images as slide backgrounds
First, just wanna say thanks for creating the service! This is a slide authoring framework full of potentials. Just check out what I was able to do with some additional CSS knowledge:
http://slid.es/gsklee/functional-programming-in-5-minutes
But that's also the issue - you need some CSS knowledge and a lot of works to get some really rich effect. It would be great if the service can one day provide built-in support for all the advanced techniques used in the example slide, though I'd like to highlight one feature, which is "using images as slide backgrounds", 'cause it's really a great addition to have…
29 votesWe have added the ability to set background images. It’s an icon right underneath the icon for setting a background color. You can also change the transition between backgrounds in the Style panel.

[bug] unable to select top image surrounded by larger image in "freely position" mode
Cause: current selection supersedes z index in "freely position" mode when calculating hover selection. Since it is necessary to pass the mouse over the outer (lower) image to get to the inner (top) image, it is impossible to select the inner image with a relative pointing device.
To reproduce:
- Insert a large and small image into a slide.
- Switch to "freely position" mode
- Push small image "to top" button
- Move small image to is is surrounded by larger image.
- Move the mouse cursor outside the larger image, then back in and over the smaller image.
Result: the larger image is…
1 voteThe new Slides editor is always in “free positioning mode”, and handles layering much more gracefully.

iframe bug
Is you add an iframe in HTML editing mode:
<iframe src="i.html" width="400" height="400" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>upon saving, slid.es scrambles it to be:
<iframe src="i.html" width="400" height="400" scrolling="no" frameborder="0">&nbsp;</iframe>Which seems to break the viewer as well.
3 votesFixed – will not happens to inserted iframes going forward.

Is there a way to disable comments?
First of all, I love Slid.es. Thank you so much for a wonderful HTML5 presentation solution. So sick of powerpoint!
Basically, I would like to start distributing my slide decks but need to be able to disable the comments first. Is there a way to do this that I may be missing? If not it'd be great to have to "enable/disable comments" toggle for each slide deck, if not for each than I could settle for even a global toggle (all slide decks).
Thanks!7 votesIt’s now possible to disable comments, see http://slides.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/255205-comments

duplicate deck or save as
As a sales tool, It would be great to duplicate an existing deck, so that when we have a detailed presentation for one client, we can just duplicate and customize for other client. Either duplicate, or save an existing deck as a new deck. Or import the exported content of an existing deck to a blank deck.

Add search for public slides
Should we not be able to search for public slides? I was looking for Spring (Java) related slides and saw that I could not search.
3 votesYou can now search for decks on the new Explore page http://slid.es/explore

[bug] Can't properly set background-size with two parameters
I'm using a div with a background-image as it is currently not possible to use a background image for a slide
The problem is that i'm trying to set background-size:100% 100% on the div style, but whenever i save and re-open the deck, that gets rolled back to background-size: 100% (only 1 argument), and the height of the image ends up wrong
1 voteYou can now upload background images directly through the UI so this should no longer be an issue.

[bug]copy and paste change background color
When I copy text from a slide and paste it on the slide (or on a different slide) the background color around just that text changes to a darker version of the slide's background color.

Add smartphone control via websockets
This way someone can swipe or click to move through the presentation that is showing on another computer. I actually did this a while back using a python web-sockets demo, it only took a couple of hours to hack up.
Notes and a zoomed out overview of the presentation would be helpful.
24 votesHappy to let you know that smartphone remote controlling is now available to all of our users. More info here: http://help.slid.es/knowledgebase/articles/333925-remote-control

Allow to change fonts for whole presentation
My native language is czech and it contains a lot of special characters and default font in rvlio is not compatible wit them so I have to use Arial. And every time i create new slide I have to swich to Arial.
Please make it possible to set a font style globally for one presentation, it would help a lot.5 votes -

Provide editable title and/or link
The url to my presentation is based on an out-dated title. It would be nice to have the ability to edit the title and/or the url fragment.

Allow addition of a Stylesheet + Submit as Theme
I would like to be able to include a stylesheet of a custom theme I make for the slideshow. A simple "Custom Stylesheet" box would suffice for this.
Also, I think it would be nice if I can submit that stylesheet as a theme to help expand the themes for all users. This can be categorized as "User Themes" so they know there is a risk of cross-browser support, etc.
33 votesCustom CSS is now available as an option in editor’s Style panel for Pro users. There’s a bit more info in this blog post http://blog.slid.es/post/56336481462/update-pdf-export-background-images-and-custom-css
As to the second point, a user-submitted theme gallery isn’t in our plans at the moment.

Webfont without non ascii chars
So far most of web fonts used by reveal.io temoplates uses webfonts without polish characters, which is crucial since I need to write polish presentations.
Best option would be to allow user to choose webfonts for their templates. Other provide two or three templates that use fonts that have many characters (like arial, ubuntu font and so on).
9 votesWe’ve added a lot of fonts since this was posted (you can find them in the Style panel). Open Sans should be particularly good. Let us know if you’re still having issues with this.

allow edit text size & vertical position
great service!
1.allow edit text size (1 to 100) & adjust text's vertical position/auto center it vert.
2.the text formatting tool capitilizes the lowercase IDN (or any type of) characters, after a few text style changes, and doesnt make them Lowercase again when selecting "Paragraph" style.
3. when selected the text with cursor, the text formatting area's "Font" and "Format" fields, should display current selections (eg: Arial, H1), so user knows where he stands.6 votes -
