You can now import from PowerPoint and PDF. More info and instructions available here: http://help.slides.com/knowledgebase/articles/487268-import-from-pdf-or-powerpoint
So far this is limited to image-based importing, meaning the inner content of imported slides can’t be edited. We’re hoping to add editable imports at a later point.

We haven’t decided if and in what form this should be added. However we did just release ZIP exports which makes it very easy to download all of the source files for a presentation (HTML/CSS/JS/images). Those files could then be added to an empty repository.

Given how easy it must be to change this on the developer's side and how annoying it is to not being able to use virtually any available clickers, I believe this would be a GREAT issue to address soon! :)
