Deactivate single slides
Hi there.
Working on a presentation it would be great to set single slide visible / unvisible. For e.g. i show the presentation with slide for real people i don'Ät need to show a slide about myself with picture etc..
When publishing later the presentation for all users which see the presentation i could be able to activate the slide with my portfolio / vita / picture.
So i can stay in the same presentation and do not need to make a duplicate of the presentation with some more or less slides in it.
For e.g. adding a button on…
102 votesHey! We have added support for hiding individual slides now. The quickest way to hide the current slide is to press CMD+H (CTRL+H on Windows). Alternatively, you can open the arrange mode (ESC) and click the eye symbol the slides you want to hide.
Deactivated slides are only visible inside of the editor. They are removed from all other presentation views, including PDF exports.
Please let us know if you notice any errors.

Add Drop Shadow as an option for Text
It's widely supported in CSS so can be done as a custom CSS trick but it's really useful when working with text over a background image and would be nice to have in the visual editor?
40 votesWe’ve now added support for drop-shadow and blur effects. These work for all types of content blocks, including text.

easier to put in pictures
I want to be able to just copy and paste pictures in my presentation instead of screen shoting something and then having to download it from my drive.
1 voteHey. It’s already possible to copy and paste images directly from your clipboard. Here’s an example where I right click to copy and press CMD+V to paste in the Slides editor: http://static.slid.es.s3.amazonaws.com/social/slides-copy-paste-image.gif
Note that this only works if you haven’t already copied a block of content inside of the Slides editor. If you’ve already copied a block you can reload the editor. Those two conflict because we have our own copy-paste logic in the editor and can not tap into the operating system’s own logic.

Copy individual slide between decks
Making slides is usually a matter of copy-and-paste from an old deck into a new deck (at least in Powerpoint). Copying is either a selection of elements from a slide, or one or more complete slides.
However I found it impossible to do copy-and-paste between different decks at slides.com. It is possible to clone an existing one - but what if it is too late or I want to copy from multiple sources?
4 votesIt’s now possible to easily copy Slides from any of your other decks. If you’re a member of a Slides Team, you can browse and insert individual slides from other team members too.
More info about inserting slides from other decks can be found here: https://help.slides.com/knowledgebase/articles/583992-how-do-i-copy-slides-between-decks

Page numbers on slides
Add the option to have page numbers at the bottom of each slide (separate from the progress bar setting).
People viewing a presentation could then refer to particular slides by number when they ask questions.
87 votesWe added support for page/slide numbers! It’s a per-presentation setting that you’ll need to turn on. Oh, and it works with PDF exports too!

Link to knowledgebase from editor
Add a giant question mark on the editor window that links to the knowledge base: why do I need to go the slides.com for this?
1 voteThanks for the feedback! A link to the knowledge base and help forum has been added to the bottom of the sidebar.
There was already a support link there but it’s only been visible to Pro users up until now. If this ends up increasing our support ticket queue too much we may have to revise. We’re a small team and have to prioritize speedy support for our paying customers.

Give us an option to not preload a slide
I have a large presentation file with many iframes to demo content within.
This causes the load of the presentation to lag whilst it spends ages preloading all of the content.
Either give us a global switch to not preload or perhaps a control within the 'iframe' option that allows us to determine if the content is preloaded or loaded when the slide comes into view.
1 voteJust confirmed this to be working. Iframes are only loaded for the three nearest slides. This is checked every time you navigate, if a new iframe appears within the 3-slide distance it will start loading.

Duplicate slides
Be able to duplicate single slides would be great.
For e.g. when changing only one word it will be much easier than copy paste each slide content and position it.16 votesIt’s now possible to easily duplicate the current slide. This option is available inside of the templates selector which appears when you click to add a new slide.

Enhanced performance of GIF files
… Would be great if GIFs only played on page load rather than playing constantly. They often end up half way through when you get to that slide.
10 votesGIFs now start playing when their containing slide is shown. This ensures they’ll always start from the beginning.
This logic is applied to both on-slide and background images. However restarting GIFs used as background images does not work in Firefox.

Slide collections/folders for organizing and easier private sharing
It is hard to organize a lot of slides, and share many private slides. It would be great to be able to make a collection or folder of slides (per class, for example) and share that collection with one shareable link, rather than each individual slide.
Being able to sort would also be good (even if it's alphabetical).
61 votesHey! We’ve made it possible to organize decks using tags. Each tag has a unique URL so that you can share them. You can control which tag that’s shown by default when someone goes to your profile page too.

Enable Full Speaker View on iOS
The main reason I want to use Slides is to use my iPad to both see and control a presentation on a remote computer. As things stand, the remote control replaces the full “speaker view” on iOS. This isn’t what I need. As it requires one to turn around to watch the screen content, defeating the purpose of using Slides.
My classrooms are equipped with a Windows PC plugged into a projector, not allowing for installation of any piece of software. I want to use that computer to project slides, controlled via an iPad, but I also want to see…
10 votesiPad users will now see the full speaker view, rather than the simplified mobile version of the page.
Let us know if you run into any problems with this.

iFrame not displaying content
I am placing an iframe into on of my slides and calling a URL outside of slid.es
url: party.wellhey.com/raffle.html
and all I get is an outline of where the iframe is, none of the content is displayed. I thought it may be my code on the page that is being displayed, so I plugged in Google and still nothing.

Speaker notes
Having a simple drop down comment box that rests below the slide might be a cool way to allow users to keep notes for each of their slides. Right now I'm writing my script either in a word document or "off screen" outside the visible scroll in the main container.
14 votesSpeaker notes are now supported. Find out more: http://help.slid.es/knowledgebase/articles/333926

Fix the background color bug
Hello,
First, thanks for your tool : it's elegant, easy to use and clear...
But I have a problem with "slide".Basically, when I'm trying to change her color, it doesn't work. But, if I try to change the background-color to the SAME background-color, then i make a choice, the colors change. The true problem is the color changed only for a moment ; if i'm going on another slide then i come back on the first, the backgrund-color comes back to his first state.
Hard for me ; the next time i'll see the feedbacker of a software. If…
2 votesBackground colors should no work as expected in vertical slides.

Math Equations
It took about ten minutes to fork reveal.js to add equation support via MathJax ( http://mathjax.org ). You only drop the MathJax javascript into the header and it automatically renders anything like $y=x^2$ as an equation in any number of different formats. No live demo, but see: https://github.com/rreusser/reveal.js
Makes a lot of sense to me particularly since it's so simple, but there are a number of choices that would need to be smoothed out like which equation syntax to use, which display format to use, and how an editor like rvl.io would balance WYSIWYG with equations that need rendering.
Edit:…
98 votesIt’s now possible to easily display math formulas via the new Math block! Find out more: http://slides.com/news/math

Allow multiuser collaboration
Many times a presentation is a work of more than one person. Would be great to allow all of them to contribute to its edition.
